Location: Hybrid, South Side of Chicago (60617). Sessions are held in person or virtually at the office as scheduled; on days with no in-person patients booked, you may work remotely.

Schedule: Part time, 5–10 hours per week, with the option to move to full time. Flexible scheduling built around your availability.

Pay: Per hour pay, paid as an independent contractor (1099). We are also open to discussing per-session pay or percentage-based reimbursement arrangements.

About the Role

Chindika Healthcare Inc is a growing outpatient behavioral health practice serving individuals and families on Chicago’s South Side, with a multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists and behavioral health professionals. We are seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) who is passionate about improving access to quality mental health services in our community. Whether you want to build a full-time caseload or see patients a few hours each week, we offer a schedule that can be tailored to your availability and career goals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and/or adults, based on your experience and preferred patient population
  • Complete comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments
  • Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation, and complete notes and billing promptly
  • Collaborate closely with our psychiatrists to develop coordinated treatment plans, consult on patient care, and provide integrated behavioral health services
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and referring providers when appropriate
  • Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA and professional ethical standards

Qualifications

  • Active Illinois license as an LCSW or LCPC
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
  • Strong clinical assessment and therapeutic skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to present diploma, degree, work authorization, and other identification when requested

Employment Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Must be able to satisfy all credentialing requirements for participation with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans, if applicable
  • Beginner-level technology proficiency and EMR experience

Recommended

  • Outpatient psychotherapy experience (preferred but not required)
  • Therapists interested in providing clinical supervision will have the opportunity to do so
