Location: In person, South Side of Chicago (60617). No virtual work.
Schedule: Part time, minimum 5 and maximum 20 hours per week, with the option to move to full time as our patient volume and schedule grow. Flexible scheduling built around your availability.
Pay: Per hour pay, based on experience, paid as an independent contractor (1099).
About the Role
We are seeking a board-eligible or board-certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physician to join a growing practice. You will see patients in person, work alongside a supportive team, and have the chance to help shape the clinic as it develops.
Responsibilities
- Complete patient notes in a timely manner, within 2 weeks of the visit
- Aim to see an average of 2–3 patients per hour
- Know, or be willing to learn, the CPT codes needed to complete a superbill (our clinic does not bill; you will prepare the superbill for our biller)
- Complete patient assessments and HEDIS measures
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA and professional ethical standards
Qualifications
- Active Illinois medical license (MD)
- Strong clinical assessment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to present diploma, degree, work authorization, and other identification when requested
Employment Requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- Must be able to satisfy all credentialing requirements for participation with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans, if applicable
- Beginner-level technology proficiency and EMR experience
Recommended
- Outpatient experience
- Willingness to take some after-hours calls during the month
- Physicians interested in providing clinical supervision to mid-level providers will have the opportunity to do so
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
